I spent most of the day planning before I went to the store and still messed up but I'm a beginner so lesson after lesson.

and receive a $2 reward...

I had four coupons.

1.00 mfg
subtotal 1.99
sales tax 6.0% = .18
total 2.17
received $2.00 reward for each transaction
oop $4.34 and $4reward so like playing .34 for 4 toothbrushes

3rd trans. reach 2pk
2.99 sale
1.50 mfg
subtotal 1.49
sales tax .18
total 1.67 oop
2.00 reward
like getting 2 toothbrushes for free

4th trans reach toothbrush
2.99 sale
.75 mfg
subtotal 2.24
tax .18
total 2.42 oop
2.00 reward
like paying .42 for one toothbrush

Werthers' candy was on sale for buy one get one free. Being a newbie and focusing on the toothbrushes I forgot they were bogo and purchased 3 bags hoping to use my rewards from toothbrush transaction but the rule is one coupon per item and I was already using 1.00 manufacturing coupons so had to buy one extra item as what they call a filler to use one of the rewards. so here it is.....

2 bags of werthers 2.59....bogo
doritos .50
1 bag of werthers 2.59 = $5.68
minus
x2 1.00 mfg
x1 .50 mfg
2.00 reward mfg
5.68-4.50=1.18
total 1.18 plus 250 reward points
not quite sure why sales tax didn't show up on this receipt.

Could not use the rewards because rewards is considered a coupon and you cant use 2 coupons on one item.
